Oslo Objectivist Conference 2013, June 1-2, Oslo, Norway

Organized by Foreningen for Studium av Objektivismen (The Norwegian Objectivist Association).

In common with last years Oslo-conference, this years conference offers several high-quality speakers on a wide field of topics ranging from politics, several sciences (computer science, psychology & economics), aesthetics, to talks on Aristotle & Ayn Rand.

Venue and travel information

The conference venue is at the University of Oslo, at Blindern. On both days the lectures will be in Vilhelm Bjerknes hus, Auditorium 2 (Moltke Moes vei 35).

To get to Blindern from the centre of Oslo, you can take the T-Bane (Metro) westward, lines 3 (Storo), 4 (Ringen) & 6 (Sognsvann). Alternatively you can also take the tram, lines 17 & 18 (Rikshospitalet).

Oslo is easily reached by airplane – either to Oslo Airport Gardermoen, or to Moss Airport Rygge. From Oslo airport take the Airport express train to Nationaltheatret, about 20 minutes of travel. From Moss airport either take the bus service, Rygge-ekspressen, or the train from Rygge station. Both have a travel time of roughly 60 minutes.

Registration fee

The registration fee includes entrance to the lectures, a simple lunch, as well as coffee and snacks throughout the day. To register please complete our registration form. The registration fee is payable to our bank account (preferred) or our PayPal account as shown on the registration page. Upon receipt of payment your registration will be confirmed. Please note that we are not able to refund any registration fee.

Conference dinner

The conference dinner will take place in the restaurant Olympen on Saturday at 2000. The dinner is a 3-course-meal, costing (excluding drinks) NOK 349. The dinner is paid by each attendee directly to the restaurant at the end of the dinner. If you would like to attend the dinner, please let us know when registering for the conference, or per email. Also indicate if you would like meat or fish for the main course. The deadline for registering for the dinner is 1200 on Wednesday, May 29.

The restaurant is very close to Grønland metro station, and is in the centre of Oslo.
